True North Tiny Homes

True North Tiny Homes was born out of a passion of the founders, Daniel & JoAnna Ott, to help their fellow neighbours. They felt like large scale custom renovation projects that they used to do were more enabling people than helping. The notion of helping your fellow neighbour has been engrained in both of their minds since they were kids, and it’s a philosophy they still hold dearly to today. Building tiny homes for people in need in a legal way (ADUs) is a passion they can feel good about.

Dan and JoAnna take all their innovation, passion, and skill that they’ve gained through years of work in the field to True North Tiny Homes. With their combination of design, architecture, construction, and business experience, each tiny home they create is built to the highest standards of quality in construction, detail, and design.

Now, with the help of Michelle Wong of Adding Value 2 Seniors, they are bringing a whole new light to this world. They are now specializing in creating spaces for the older generation to do so with dignity and grace, having help close by while maintaining independence for longer than they could in traditional housing methods. Everything can be taken care of for you now, from design to permit, from construction to after ownership home maintenance, from carefully crafted schedules and processes to on and off app controlled aging-in-place smart home features (such as radar fall detection), from meal prep to private drivers for appointments, from nail trimming to hospice care.
